Al'turn'ative Tuesday

.
note the close proximity of the engine to the front wheel in the photo above....one of the advantages of not using telescopic forks.

The original "Al-turn-ative Tuesday" post started with Norman Hossack. His brilliant work on alternative front suspensions was done in a small shop. This week displays another small garage project done in the Netherlands. It is an ambitious racebike project. Not only have they done their own version of Hossack's front-end, but they converted the Guzzi to chain drive so racetrack setup can be varied from track-to-track....that's right, racing a chain-driven Guzzi with their own front-end. Awesome.

Sick City Daggers

.
If you like high energy rockabilly, you should check out "Sick City Daggers" from San Antonio, TX. They blend pieces of great genres: punk chords & backing vocals, metal chords, & the slap bass of rockabilly. If you like the Misfits, The Ramones, Rev Horton Heat, and metal power chords, you probably will like this music. I found them on "Pandora".

The 'hits' for me are:

"Evil Dead", "Devil Girl", "Wanderer", "Unknown Grave" (my favorite that has awesome metal chords)

The Wanderer is an updated cover, including lyrics (harmless, but wouldn't pass the '50s beaver cleaver scene)

In the middle of the Zombies' chorus, (listen at the 2:40 mark in the video below), you could imagine 'Animal' singing and playing along perfectly with this band.
